Our Deepest Condolences

Horse Trials BC Directors and Members are saddened to hear of the passing of George Simpson.  I first met the Simpsons in my early teen years, as a Vancouver Pony Club member, as his wife Jean taught many of our stable management classes.  George was always encouraging as we prepared for exams, and I took up eventing in part because of his enthusiasm for the sport.  Many of us remember the big white hospitality tent which traveled to every event in BC for several years, with George manning the refreshment bar and providing great conversations.  He and Jean were staunch supporters of eventing in BC, and were always busy helping with fundraising and many other activities, in addition to sponsoring riders from BC.  On behalf of the Board of Directors, our deepest condolences go to Jean, and their children and grandchildren.  We will all miss him.

Sarah Bradley,

HTBC President
